Time Flies in Mission-Driven Work

Celebrating a Decade with Our Clients

Time is a funny thing. It flies when you’re having fun. Sometimes it drags – usually after 3 pm. And sometimes there’s not enough of it.

Nonprofits are frequently cited as being “resource constrained.” That often means not enough money, but time can be as big a constraint. Over our 10 years in business as facilitators, we joke that scheduling may be the hardest part of what we do.

By design and in mission delivery, nonprofits take on some of the hardest to solve challenges. Will there ever be enough hours in the day to address hunger? To protect endangered species? Passionate team members, paid and volunteer, feel urgency in their work and that there are not enough hours in the day as they strive for impact.

When clients ask us to work with them, they may feel as if they are taking time away from the mission to work on the organization. That time is often a harder sell than the cost. Our goal is to help our clients achieve results in a time efficient manner, with the impact on those doing the work and those served by the work always top of mind.

Clarity’s tenth anniversary is this summer, and time has flown for us! Our clients and their passion to make our world better make this the best job ever. Thank you to all the nonprofits for everything you do, and for never letting resource-constraints and time-challenges rule the day.
